More moments to ponder.
What about those moments when something strikes a chord within you, further cements a thought or feeling, and leaves you wondering if there’s a reason for what has occurred within the moment?
For example, your friend drives a certain make and color of vehicle, therefore you can’t help but have your attention caught by every one you see. You may pass a hundred cars on your route and be totally attuned to your thoughts until that one passes you. Suddenly, your attention is redirected if only momentarily. Why doesn’t your mind tune that vehicle out as well?
When you’re reading a book and a certain passage makes you pause in thought. Do you ever have reason to believe there’s a hidden message; that you’re meant to read that passage. It could be any book but you happen to pick up that book to read. The same could be said for a movie or music. You seek to distract your troubled thoughts or angst through one of these activities only to find an answer within. Is it coincidental?
The feelings of déjà vu you sometimes experience. Have you really already lived identical moments or is there some intuitive process occurring which has you suddenly aware but also a little spooked and perplexed?
One of the most common sayings I hear about the Bible is that its interpretation is dependent on the reader. It seems to me that the interpretation is also dependent on time for the same passage read at different times often seems to vary though the words are the same.
I suppose our interpretation of everything is dependent on the moment in which we live for every new moment is unique if for no other reason than the advancement of time with all the previous moments we’ve experienced influencing the most recent. And, what we garner from each new moment is influenced by what we seek or need.
